Dear Neighbour Laos Cotton Jacket 2nd Type

A relaxed fitting, cropped trucker jacket cut from a lightweight, handwoven, yarn-dyed cotton canvas in an indigo/brown melange. Features a classic collar, on-seam hand pockets at the waist, button closure chest pockets, a pleated front, yoked shoulders, button-fastening waist cinches, and engineer's cuffs. Subtle shaping achieved with pleats at the back shoulders and back hem form a gentle, elegant bloused effect at the waist that highlights the remarkable texture of the cloth. Constructed using flat felled seams throughout for a long lasting, encased finish; large Mother of Pearl buttons throughout with kintsugi accent at the closure.

The Laos Cotton is handwoven from handspun yarns of Laotian cotton. Produced by highly skilled artisans for generations, the cloth employs natural indigo grown among the same natural-style gardens that provide villages with both food and their cotton. Reflecting the territory from which it emerges, the cloth bears an impressively rich colour and texture. Due to the nature of the artisanal process, expect some variation in tone and texture throughout.
