Working represents the synthesis of two seemingly divergent sensibilities born from the idiosyncratic collaboration between William Kroll of Tender and Robert Newman of Middle Distance. Blending influences from Kroll’s obsession with the steam age and Newman’s embrace of the technical cutting edge, each garment bears an aura of time-bending functionality. Familiar details from each perspective are blended with impressive skill, re-skinning history and future to become one through jointly developed, proprietary construction and dye methods.
