ATHENA Jewellery is an artist-made jewellery line that celebrates the handmade nature of its designs by exaggerating organic texture and embracing variations in repeating patterns. Each piece is meticulously finished in such a way to bring out its unique elements, so that it reflects the hand of the maker. Our ethos flies in the face of mass production and conformity, emphasizing instead a connection to ancient practices, a commitment to sustainability, and a respect for the imperfection of humanity itself. Common design elements include trompe l'oeil effects of textiles transmuted into metal, nautical details, and Bronze Age forms. Collections are made in limited editions in bronze, sterling silver, and 18-karat gold in Athena Theny's Vancouver studio.
