Admiration for tradition and a love for items passed implicitly through generations are what inspired founders Buffy Ried and her father Columba to start the slow-fashion knitwear brand, &Daughter. Believing in the beauty and strength of a small, local supply chain, &Daughter now works with only five yarns and five makers based in the UK and Ireland. Each garment is fully fashioned, meaning each piece of the sweater is knit individually then joined together by hand, reducing material waste. Praising traditional craft and prioritising sustainability, they aim to create timeless, quality garments that are made to be an heirloom worn for generations.
