Founded by mother and daughter Kim and Dechen Yeshi in Ritoma village, Norlha is the Tibetan Plateau’s first yak khullu atelier, working with artisans coming from nomad families who have spun, woven and felted for generations. The making of Norlha products balances modern technology with traditional knowledge to create lasting, beautiful pieces while supporting their local community. This practice results in elegant woollen goods rooted in place, environment and heritage with the yak maintaining its presence and importance in the livelihoods of Ritoma village.
