From Helsinki, Finland
Founded in 1961
The daughter of a textile engineer, Lena was often hypnotized as a young girl by vibrant balls of wool when visiting her father. After studying art and textile design, in 1961 the studio of Lena Rewell was opened in Helsinki, quickly becoming a tourist attraction. Drawing inspiration from the colours of flower petals, an archipelago, a lake, her designs are truly her own. The studio is now run by her daughter, Dita.
