Shade is a tennis oriented sportswear brand rooted in a research-based approach to design that begins with history. Born form founder Miraj Patel’s experience in the optimization-oriented, win-at-any-cost active/outdoor industry, Shade opts to approach each design beginning with its original intention. Natural fibres are preferentially selected for all layers that sit next-to-skin with synthetics reserved for outer layers that benefit greatly from their inclusion. Active garments are seen as dynamic tools used by athletes and are thus engineered to be altered, removing excess to ensure only what is needed remains.
