It all began with the Goto cup in 1994. Designed by Parisian glass design pioneer Marie Brandolini, who was inspired by the goti de fornasa that the Murano glass makers would make for themselves at the end of the day using scraps of glass from the days travails. Amused by this "pure game of chance", Marie reinterpreted the process to create the Goto collection. 

The cups quickly gained popularity, and Marie worked tirelessly with the glassblowers, created exacting standards and her own formulations. From the Goto collection, she expanded to create others, all of them collectible, functional art.
