Gnuhr: derived from the Arabic word ‘nur’ and the ancient Greek ‘gnosis’; while the direct Arabic translation is for luminous light, the linguistic ambiguity in English allows for a looser interpretation towards a sense of weightlessness.

Fusing a well honed design intelligence with a stylistically focused sensibility, Gnuhr creates hyper-functional products with an eye to both high performance and everyday use cases. Founder Nur Abbas has spent the better part of the twenty first century refining his craft working as a designer and design director for Margiela, Louis Vuitton, Nike, Yeezy and Goldwin0. Gnuhr represents the culmination of Abbas’ experience working at all levels of design in the development of his own “purpose-based system.”
