Building on Issey Miyake’s over fifty year legacy of advanced fashion design, IM Men is a newly introduced line continuing to explore the edges of possibility in clothing production. Helmed by Sen Kawahara, a remarkably experienced team of veteran designers and directors co-designs while adhering as close as possible to Issey Miyake’s “a piece of cloth” principle. Extensive research through all stages of the process coalesces to form products intended to put emotion first while becoming neither unnecessarily ornate nor excessively subdued.
