An oversized, button-front coverall jacket cut from the narrow quilted edition of MAN-TLE’s signature Nubi quilted cloth in a faded ash black. Features a single piece collar, the classic military style button closure, flapped patch pockets at the waist, and button-fastening cuff adjusters. Mild structure afforded by the quilted cloth lends a sense of plushness that highlights the generous proportions of the silhouette while cinching the cuffs produces a subtle sense of drama by pleating the sleeve. Constructed using a traditional Korean method wherein each panel of the quilted cloth is first bound along its edges after cutting, and subsequently sewn together, leaving no raw edges exposed.
The Nubi Cloth is produced in Daegu, Korea using a three layer construction that combines a fine cotton shell with poly fill, quilted in 3mm wales. After weaving and quilting the fabric is piece-dyed to produce rich, faded tones throughout. Lightweight, yet insulating, the Nubi is a reproduction of a traditional Korean cloth commonly used in blanket making.
