Hyperlite Mountain Gear

Hyperlite Mountain Gear is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of ultra-lightweight, cutting edge outdoor backpacking and climbing equipment. In 2010, founder Mike St. Pierre, made a 180-degree career change when his day job as a chef in Manhattan took a backseat to his extracurricular activities as a habitual mountain climber. In an effort to seek out improvements for the performance of his climbing gear, St. Pierre discovered an ultra-weatherproof material called cuben fibre. The response from his initial equipment prototypes were so overwhelming that he created Hyperlite Mountain Gear (HMG), an innovative outdoorsman company who has established a headquarters in Biddenford, Maine specializing in backpacks, shelters, stuff sacks and accessories.
