A relaxed fitting, boxy, button-front shirt cut from a midweight herringbone fine loden in a two-tone grey. Features a stand collar cut as a continuation of the body panel, darted front pockets, and a flat hem. Raglan sleeves allow the silhouette to hang freely from the shoulders with a sense of natural drape that complements the dense pliable body of the loden while subtle "pinch" darts at the side seams carry movement through the body. Constructed using fine, single needle flat felled seams throughout for a long lasting, encased finish; horn buttons.
The Herringbone Fine Loden cloth is 240gsm winter woollen woven at a 5th generation mill in Austria using super fine Australian Merino wool. After weaving, the fabric is treated in a warm soapy bath and a compression machine, causing it to shrink significantly and take on a super dense, more plush, felt-like texture. The post-weaving process creates a blurred effect at the fabrics surface, softening the trademark chevron pattern of the herringbone slightly. Despite their light weight the fine Lodens are insulating, hardwearing, and handle many wears with ease before need for washing.
