An easy, wide-bodied coverall jacket cut from a heavy veg-tanned horsehide in mud dyed brown. Features a classic narrow collar, square patch pockets at the waist, a buckled waist cinch, and engineer's style cuffs. Serving as an ode to industrial manufacturing, the silhouette is extremely reduced in its detailing, intended "more as a tool than a garment"; generous two-piece sleeves cut for movement create volume through the back and a slight forward stance. Completed with a full lining in a brushed wool/linen twill for a long lasting, fully encased finish; engraved iron tack buttons throughout.
Dyed one by one in the iron rich muds of Amami Oshima, each jacket bears subtle variation in tone and occasional flecking as an artefact of the process. The all iron hardware bears a subtle rusted patina that will further develop with time, creating a natural colour harmony with the mud brown tone.
