A generously oversized, button-front jacket cut from MT-Wax in a deep, clayey, muted grey-brown. Features a generous shaped collar, the signature military style closure with belt threaded buttons, and large "bucket" patch pockets at the waist. Generous raglan sleeves combine with exaggerated proportions throughout for a high volume silhouette that hangs freely from the shoulders. Constructed using fine, single needle flat felled seams throughout for a long lasting, fully encased finish.
MT-Wax cloth is a high density, midweight plain weave, woven for MAN-TLE in Shizuoka using a mix of Australian and American cottons. After weaving it is treated with a baked paraffin wax finish in Fukui, resulting in its trademark rigid dense hand. With wear and washing the waxed coating softens, shaping to the body and becoming more papery in texture.
