A newly introduced, relaxed fitting mid layer vest cut from MT-Wax in black. Features a y-neckline with an integrated collar that hugs the back of the neck, side-entry patch pockets at the waist, and MAN-TLE's signature military style button closure. Low armholes and roomy proportions through the body are optimally suited to layering while the structure of the waxed cloth lends a sense of rugged utility. Completed with a full lining in a translucent nylon ripstop, exposing the mottled colouring of the unbleached down.
MT-Wax cloth is a high density, midweight plain weave, woven for MAN-TLE in Shizuoka using a mix of Australian and American cottons. After weaving it is treated with a baked paraffin wax finish in Fukui, resulting in its trademark rigid dense hand. With wear and washing the waxed coating softens, shaping to the body and becoming more papery in texture.
