As much a study of learning as it is a study of doing, Gorsch represents the current station for founder Eiichi Suzuki on the long, winding road of life. The core of Suzuki’s knowledge developed from his personal study of vintage garments during his time working for Frank Leder, and his work is informed by a self-described “novice” approach to sewing and design. Viewing the task of design with a set of fresh eyes, he achieves inventive details, employing subtle riffs on classic elements that are born from the mind of a sewer.
