Made from a lightweight Japanese cupro in a deep brown shade, it has a wax-dipped paraffin-coated shell that transforms the fabric to give it structure, durability, and water repellence. It feels stiff at first with chalk-like markings at each crease but will soften and patina beautifully over time. The loose, sleeveless silhouette is emphasized by a low, cowled back with an optional tie at the inside that allows you to cinch it in at the waist if you please. Complete with a long lavallière shawl at the neck, it can be tied up like an ascot or wrapped around the neck loosely like a scarf.
