An oversized, boxy, zip-front jacket cut from MT Wax in a wide black/grey stripe. Features a generous pointed collar, a two-way YKK zipper, drop-in hand pockets with oversized welt closures, and an elasticated back hem. Expanded proportions through the body create a gently flared silhouette that falls away from the body that is balanced by curved, subtly tapered sleeves. Constructed using french seams and a flat felled armhole for MAN-TLE’s hardwearing, encased finish.
MT-Wax cloth is a high density, midweight plain weave, woven for MAN-TLE in Shizuoka using a mix of Australian and American cottons. After weaving it is treated with a baked paraffin wax finish in Fukui, resulting in its trademark rigid dense hand. With wear and washing the waxed coating softens, shaping to the body and becoming more papery in texture.
