From Tokyo, Japan
Founded in 2010
In 2010, Daisuke Hamada returned home to Japan to found his own fashion label, Niuhans, after a stint in London and Paris working and gaining experience under several esteemed ateliers, not to mention a role as assistant designer at Kitsuné. As an independent Tokyo-based label, Niuhans was created with distinct values ingrained - to utilize natural materials of fine quality in producing simple, everyday clothing. The aim of the brand is to make clothes that fit everyone's life environment regardless of their race, sex, age, occupation, etc. Among other things, Hamada is also an established photographer with contributions to publications such as Dazed & Confused, The Plant Journal and Vogues Hommes Japan.
