A short sleeved edition of MAN-TLE's signature Weather Shirt cut from a remarkably crisp, Supima cotton typewriter cloth in white. Features a narrow collar, a clean finished back yoke, and a curved hem. Cut with generous elbow length sleeves, and the same roomy body as the signature oversized Shirt-8, lending an effortless, relaxed silhouette that looks excellent worn alone or with an under layer. Constructed using french seams and a flat felled armhole for MAN-TLE’s trademark hard wearing finish that is built to last.
The 160 Crunch is woven from USA grown, long staple, Supima cotton and represents a significant technical achievement by the new generation of a family-operated mill in Hamamatsu, Japan. Seeking to surpass the industry benchmark for the smoothest, densest, and strongest typewriter cloth, Crunch 160 achieves a density of 358 yarns per square inch, eclipsing the previous record of 340. Extremely difficult to produce, it requires the use of an older wooden shuttle loom renowned for a gentler touch on the yarns themselves. The resulting cloth is feather light, tending to sit away from the skin, and bears a crisp, papery hand. It rustles and crunches with movement, and despite its delicacy, the density of the weave makes it supremely strong. With proper care it will retain its unique structure through many wears.
