Corset Shirt Black Wool Kelsch Cloth

A tailored, cropped, shaped button-front shirt cut from a washed, crisp, cotton/linen/wool Kelsch cloth in a white-on-black check. Features a standless collar, barrel cuffs, Unkruid's signature curved sleeves, and a gently curved hem. Inset panels at the sides meet the front and back at curved "corset" seam lines, combining with horizontal fisheye "pinch" darts to create a highly nuanced silhouette that sits slightly closer to the body through the chest, but expands gently at the hem. Constructed using fine, single needle felled seams throughout for a long lasting, encased finish; Corozo buttons throughout.

The Wool Kelsch Cloth is part of Unkruid's ongoing collaboration with a one-man mill located in Alsace in the East of France on rapier looms. Kelsch cloths serve a similar role to Scottish Tartans in French culture and this mill is one of the only remaining producers of these cloths with rich, complex history. This custom 270gsm edition adds wool to the familiar cotton/linen blend, lending warmth that is better suited to the cooler months. Post production washing lends a rich surface texture and a subtle crispness that will soften with wear.
