402 Two Birds Shirts Cotton Drop Cloth Purple Logwood

A relaxed fitting, button-front shirt cut from a high density, left-hand cotton twill originally produced as a painter's drop cloth in a naturally dyed logwood purple. Features a standless collar, a gently curved hem, patch pockets at the waist and side entry chest pockets formed by stitching through a large front pleat when attaching the outer pocket. Cross-cut patterning eliminates shoulder seams and causes the cloth to drape over the shoulder on the bias, allowing it to stretch and soften the silhouette with wear. Constructed using durable, single needle flat felled seams throughout for a long lasting, encased finish; cotton coated metal buttons throughout.

Naturally dyed using logwood extract, a pH sensitive red liquid distilled from the tree's heartwood that can be tinted to a wide range of hues depending on what is added. Natural dyes are living dyes, they will fade and change with wear, washing, and exposure to sunlight.
