Wide fitting trousers cut from a heavy cotton sateen originally produced for use in blackout blinds, noted for the readiness with which it accepts colour from natural dyes. Feature a button fly, a button closure, front pockets enclosed by a large pleat, and rear patch pockets. Cut without side seams, the entirety of each leg is formed by a single piece of fabric that is shaped using an exaggerated, large, rear facing pleat which produces a unique sense of dynamic movement throughout the silhouette. Constructed using single needle, flat felled seams throughout for a long lasting, encased finish.
Naturally dyed to dark grey using logwood extract, a pH sensitive red liquid distilled from the tree's heartwood that can be tinted to a wide range of hues depending on what is added. Natural dyes are living dyes, they will fade and change with wear, washing, and exposure to sunlight.
