Relaxed fitting, straight legged trousers cut from a sturdy, densely woven, cotton/washi twill in naturally dyed sumi grey. Feature a button fly, a button closure, front on-seam pockets, a right-hand welted ticket pocket, and rear welt pockets. Easy, controlled proportions combine with the creased leg for a sense of functional elegance while the richness of the sumi enhances the texture of the cloth. Constructed with additional seam allowance through the seat that can be let out up to two inches if added volume is required; Corozo buttons.
Sumi dye is an ancient Japanese method that employs natural charcoal to produce a rich, grey tone with subtle variation throughout. With wear and washing colour will fade, taking on a rich patina that enhances the aging of the fabric itself. Use some caution when wearing with lighter coloured fabrics to avoid unwanted colour transfer.
