Mackintosh Sale

From Scotland
Founded in 1823

The origin of Mackintosh dates back to the invention of the Mackintosh cloth by Scottish chemist, Charles Mackintosh, in 1823. At the time, few waterproof outerwear garments were available to the market. The invention of the rubberized cloth changed the scope of proper rainwear and has become a lasting icon ever since. The cloth itself is produced by spreading liquid natural rubber between two fabrics, while put through pressing and heating treatments. In form and style, the Mackintosh tradition still persists to this day, keeping its original innovations at the forefront of classic UK outerwear.
