Rucksack#3 Black

Racing Atelier's wide-bodied military-style rucksack Challenge Sailcloth's Ultra800TX in black with accents in natural veg-tan cow leather. Features a dual closure system with jam cleat fasteners for the top cover and a custom tension fastener at the secondary drawstring closure. The lay flat lid bears a zip-closure folio pocket with a waterproof Riri zipper featuring an extended paracord zipper pull while the expandable front pocket features a hook closure. 

Full leather construction at the back panel and carriage system leaves a smooth adaptable surface that optimizes comfort without unpleasant friction or pulling while providing natural temperature and moisture regulation. The straps themselves are composed of two layers of leather, with a softer fine leather at the inner face that wraps around to the front to encase the edges of the thicker hide that would otherwise dig into the shoulders. To accommodate the wider proportions of Rucksack #3, the base of the back panel is curved slightly, allowing it to sit flush with the hips for maximum comfort. 

Constructed using edge bound and french seams for a remarkably durable finish that is built to age with grace; custom solid cast aluminum hardware throughout.

Ultra800TX is the heaviest cloth in Challenge Sailcloth's ultra series, woven from super durable polyethylene fibres, and is given further stiffness by a laminated backing layer. With wear the cloth softens, taking on a more pliable texture. The extremely dense, hard wearing 800d cloth is selected to ensure that the textile component ages at a pace similar to the leather, providing a long life of rugged utility. Leather components are sourced in collaboration with a local saddle maker and tanned at a local tannery.
