A relaxed fitting, slightly cropped button-front shirt cut from a dense, dry poplin woven using US cotton slub yarns that has been dyed using charcoal based sumi ink. Features a very narrow pointed "lost collar" based on a 1920's shirt, a left breast pocket, a narrow clean finished rear yoke with an inverted box pleat at the centre back, and a curved hem. Roomier proportions through the body combine with a well tailored sleeve and a high armhole to create a timeless silhouette that strikes a knowing balance between ease and elegant. Thoughtfully constructed with chain stitched, flat felled seams throughout with reinforcement gussets at the side seams featuring "run-off" stitch detailing; dark tone Mother of Pearl buttons throughout.
Due to the nature of the garment dyeing process using the Sumi ink, subtle variation in tone throughout and between styles should be expected. Colour will fade with wear and washing, expressing a rich patina that is unique to each wearer.
