Cottle's "Time After Dye" collection uses sulfur dyes, a class of pigment dye that does not penetrate the fabric deeply. As a result, the colour fades with time and takes on patina similar to that of fading denim. Each garment is carefully "aged" by hand after the dye process to produce a sense of lived-in ease that is intended to mirror a sun faded patina.
