Pop Punch is a collaborative project involving a coder and sound designer: together they’ve devised a program that converts tracks of a vinyl LP into knitting patterns, a nod to some of the earliest computer systems that utilized punchcards adapted from knitting machines. This scarf is the melody of track A4 Butter from the first LP of The Low End Theory (1991) by A Tribe Called Quest, converted into knitting patterns and brought to life in a shetland yarn Fairisle.
