A lightweight cotton sock, much finer than Tender’s standard, in a naturally dyed indigo. Dyed in Kojima, Japan, the socks take their name from the the Greek myth of Achilles whose mother dipped him in the River Styx to grant him protection during battle, nearly granting him immortality. Similarly, the socks are dip dyed in indigo while holding one heel out of the dye bath giving an irregular “Achilles Heel.” Since these socks are naturally dyed some amount of colour transfer and variation are both expected and desirable characteristics.
