Stephan Schneider
German born, Belgian-based designer, Stephan Schneider, has been a garment maker since graduating from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1994. It was not until after graduating that he discovered an importance in being directly involved in garment and textile making. The appeal for Schneider’s eponymous label comes from the equally special attention he pays to fabric choice, pattern and silhouette. There is an inherent longevity in every single facet of Stephan Schneider’s garments as they are all created in house in their own Belgian production facilities. Aside from being a hands-on designer, Schneider also currently teaches at esteemed institution for music and the arts, the Universitat der Kunste in Berlin.
