"The powers of commerce and finance mixing with the grit and toughness of the street," were the show notes for Patrik Ervell's Spring-Summer 2012 presentation. Our first delivery is online now and our second delivery just arrived in store and will be up early next week.

Eccentric colour blocking, intricate weaves and the finest
quality of fabrics continue to be highlights in Sidian, Ersatz & Vanes
collections. We recently received the French shirting label’s Spring/Summer
2012 Collection entitled “Spectral Metal”. This season’s inspiration comes from
layers of the Earth’s core to the sky and other natural elements. The shirts
are unique and have bursts of colour which standout when worn alone and add
intrigue when paired with a jacket or sweater.
Frank Leder’s attention to detail, fabric choices, manufacturing process
and collection concepts make his clothing line one of the more interesting ones
available. Frank studied fashion design at the highly recognized Central Saint
Martins’ College of Art and Design in London, England. Shortly after completion
of his studies he moved back to his home country of Germany where his focus
turned to his namesake label.
A new friend of ours here at Neighbour, New York based menswear designer, Dana Lee, presents us with her Spring/Summer collection for 2012. Dana Lee is one of two new brands that we'll be featuring in our store for the upcoming season. The video is definitely more of a short film than a lookbook which aside from the beautiful pieces we see, is a refreshing take on presentation. Filmed in the Tiki Bar at Vancouver's Waldorf Hotel, the bohemian setting gives the collection's tropical inspirations and subtle pops in colour an interesting backdrop. If you're in the Vancouver area be sure to visit Dana's month long pop-up shop just around the corner from us, located at 8 E. Cordova Street. The shop will be up and running until December 3rd.
